Privacy Policy

1. Website Use and Measurement

When you visit this website, our web host and Cloudflare may process standard web request and performance data. Depending on the service, this may include the time of a request, IP address, browser or device characteristics, page URL, and campaign labels in a URL such as utm_source. We use this information to operate and secure the website and to understand aggregate visits and link use.

We do not use website data to build advertising audiences, sell personal information, or create individual marketing profiles. The website does not use a third-party research form or calendar service.

2. Tutor Research Emails

If you choose to email us about tutor research, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it only to decide whether the research is a fit, reply to you, and arrange or conduct a research conversation. We do not use research emails for product marketing.

Please keep examples anonymous. Do not send student or client names, contact details, dates, schedules, lesson notes, invoices, payment information, files, screenshots, or other identifiable student data. Email messages are handled by the email providers used to send and receive them.

We delete research contact details and correspondence within 90 days of our last research-related contact, or sooner if you ask us to. We may retain only de-identified research themes after that. You may decline any question, stop a conversation, or request deletion by emailing [email protected].

3. Information You Enter in the App

When you use Tutor Planner, you may choose to enter information such as student names, contact details, schools, grades, subjects, notes, lesson package balances, class records, homework or next steps, schedules, bills, learning results, and other tutoring-management information. You may also choose to attach images, PDF documents, or other supported files to relevant records.

Tutor Planner does not require a separate product account. The app does not request access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, or camera for its core student and lesson management features.

4. How We Use Information

• To display and manage students, lesson packages, class records, schedules, reports, bills, learning results, and exports.
• To sync your app data across your own devices using Apple iCloud private database services when iCloud is available and enabled.
• To process Pro subscription status, purchases, renewals, and restore purchases through Apple App Store and RevenueCat.
• If you explicitly enable Product Improvement, to understand aggregate feature use and improve the app through limited, privacy-friendly product analytics.
• To maintain app reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve the app experience.

5. Local Storage and iCloud Sync

Your tutoring data, including attachments you choose to import, is primarily stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled and available, the app uses Apple iCloud private database services to sync app data and associated attachments between devices signed in with your Apple ID. iCloud is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.

6. Subscriptions, Optional Product Analytics, and Third-Party Services

Tutor Planner uses RevenueCat to manage App Store subscription status. RevenueCat may process purchase receipts, product identifiers, subscription status, anonymous app user identifiers, and related data needed to validate whether Pro features are unlocked. We do not sell your student or tutoring data.

Optional Product Analytics

Tutor Planner uses TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH in Germany, only when you explicitly enable Product Improvement. This setting is off by default. You can change it at any time in Settings > Support & About > Product Improvement. Turning it off stops future analytics signals.

When enabled, TelemetryDeck receives a limited set of product analytics data:

• A hashed, app-scoped device identifier that is not your name, email address, phone number, Apple ID, or a custom Tutor Planner user ID.
• Fixed product interaction events, such as successfully creating a student, lesson package, or schedule; completing a lesson; opening a Pro screen; completing a share; or creating, updating, or deleting a revenue goal.
• Restricted categorical parameters such as schedule mode, share artifact type, or the source of a Pro screen.
• Technical context supplied by the SDK, such as app version and build, operating system version, device model, locale, SDK information, and a timestamp that TelemetryDeck rounds to the nearest hour on its service.

We do not send student or tutor names, contact details, schools, grades, subjects, tags, lesson titles, dates or times, lesson content, notes, homework, ratings, signatures, attachments, schedules, exported or shared content, prices, balances, revenue, currencies, purchase receipts, product identifiers, CoreData or CloudKit identifiers, RevenueCat user identifiers, precise location, advertising identifiers, or error text to TelemetryDeck.

TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and hosts its analytics services within the European Union. Tutor Planner does not use TelemetryDeck for advertising, cross-app or cross-website tracking, session replay, or individual marketing profiles, and does not provide TelemetryDeck with a custom user identifier. 7. Sharing of Information

We do not share your tutoring data with unrelated third parties except when needed to provide app functionality, perform iCloud sync, validate subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, or protect users and service security. If you enable Product Improvement, only the limited analytics data described above is sent to TelemetryDeck; tutoring records and shared content are excluded.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete students, lesson packages, class records, schedules, learning results, attachments, and related records inside the app. Deleting a record also removes attachments associated with that record from the app. Deletions remove the corresponding local data and may sync to your other devices through iCloud. You can also manage iCloud data through Apple system settings.

Turning off Product Improvement prevents future TelemetryDeck signals but does not retroactively remove previously sent analytics. These signals are not connected to a Tutor Planner account or to your tutoring records. TelemetryDeck controls retention of this analytics data under its published privacy information.

9. Children's Privacy

Tutor Planner is intended for tutors and adult users. It is not directed to children. If you enter student-related information, you are responsible for doing so only with appropriate authority and only to the extent necessary for your tutoring work.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect app data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Please keep your device, Apple ID, and App Store account secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, legal requirements change, or platform rules require updates. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
